November 17th

Obviously a lot has happened since my last post...
After I was released on bail, a court date was set for me to go before the judge. I had to wait 3 weeks for the hearing...the entire time I was under so much stress wondering what would happen. I had been told that I could potentially have the case rescheduled so the judge could look it over, I could find a lawyer and go back to hear my sentence.
November 17th, could not arrive soon enough. I was extremely nervous when I woke up that morning. I picked out a black skirt, heals and purple-white collared shirt to wear. I showed up about half hour early and was met by the friend that bailed me out. Another girl friend showed up a few minutes later. Their support meant/means so much to me! (I love you both so much!) Right before we went inside the court room, my bail bondsman showed up. We entered the court room and found a seat. Looking around the room, I realized I was the best dressed there. Not that I was trying to be. You could tell many of the people had been there before. As I sat scanning the room, resentment toward my husband grew. I knew I shouldnt have been there.
Before the judge came in we had to listen to the process of events. None of which sounded in my favor. I filled out the paper work asking for an attorney to be appointed to me. A few minutes later a court clerk pulled me aside asking what the charges were against me. I told her I didnt know, so she said she'd find out. Two cases were heard before mine..they were not going too well. I sat quietly between my friends, so wishing I could get up and run. Then my name was called. I walked throught the waist-hight swinging door and stepped behind the podium. I think I had to say my name (I was so nervous I dont remember). The judge looked at my paperwork. Said there were no charges brought against me so my case would be dismissed. I've never felt so happy in my life! The judged added that nothing would be on my record. I was free to go.
I took the paperwork from the baliff walked back through the small doors, stopped a brief second for my friends and walked out the court room. After showing my bail bondsman the paperwork I was free to go on my way.
